Benefits Destination and Advocacy Services are two important resources helping you to understand your benefits and provide access to important tools supporting your successful benefit experience.
Benefits Destination
Benefits Destination provides year-round access to tools and resources you need to understand and manage your benefits. Here you can find:
- Benefit summaries and comparisons
- Provider information and directories
- Forms and plan documents
- Access to enrollment system (for qualified life events)
To access Benefits Destination, take the following steps:
- Go to www.mybensite.com/keysschools and recommend you bookmark this page.
- If you are logging in for the first time, then Register as a New Member:
- Enter your last name, date of birth and last 4 digits of your Social Security Number.
- Enter your email address.
- Create and confirm a password.
- Returning members can login with the email address and password created during your initial registration.
Advocacy Services
Advocacy services provide year-round support with:
- Comparing costs for tests and procedures.
- Reviewing your bill for errors and expediting corrections.
- Appealing a denied claim and overseeing the process.
- Finding in-network providers.
- Verifying eligibility and coverage.
- Questions related to your benefits, including prescription drug questions, ways to save money, and what to do if you experience a qualifying life event.

New Employees
As a new full-time employee, you are eligible for benefits on the first day of the month following 15 calendar days of active employment. You will receive an email from Optavise, our Benefits administrator, with instructions on how to enroll online as well as information regarding any required documentation you may need. If you do not enroll before your period of coverage begins, you will not be able to do so again until open enrollment is held or until you experience a valid change in status event.

403(b) Plan - TSA Consulting Group (TSAG)
TSA Consulting Group, Inc. (TSACG) provides a variety of services to public education employers that relate to the compliance and administration of 403(b) Retirement Plans. On behalf of Monroe County School District, TSACG will be responsible for facilitating the administration of your Retirement Plan and the Retirement Plan Compliance and Employee Education Program for supplemental Retirement Plans such as 403(b) – Tax Sheltered Accounts. These plans are an important part of your employee benefit program, and you should have basic knowledge of how these plans work to enhance your retirement savings.

Employee Benefits Information
Medical (Florida Blue)
There are 3 medical plans to choose from, all with Florida Blue. Our Interactive Guide contains a comparison of the 3 plans so you can choose the one that best suits your medical needs.
Dental and Vision (Humana)
Humana is our dental and vision provider. There is currently 1 vision plan and 2 dental plans. The dental plans are the Managed Care (C-150) Plan and the PPO/Indemnity (Custom PPO) Plan to make dental care more affordable.
Labs
Quest Diagnostics is the "in network" provider for laboratory services for all Monroe County School Board employees. It covers 100% with the District's Medical Plans.
PayFlex
Flexible Spending Account and Dependent Care Account.
A healthcare FSA is used to pay for eligible medical expenses which aren't covered by your insurance. Participation in FSA is not mandatory.
Life Insurance
The Board contributes $10,000 life insurance at no cost to you. The Standard Insurance Company is our life insurance provider. You can also enroll in additional life insurance, if you choose, at a cost.
Prescription Coverage (Optum RX)
Prescription coverage is with Optum Rx. Once you enroll in medical coverage, you are automatically enrolled in prescription coverage.

Health Special Risk Insurance for Students
The 2022/23 Student Accident Insurance plan is currently in effect. Health Special Risk, Inc. (HSR) continues to administer this program. This coverage is selected to have reliable coverage for students. If they do not have any other coverage available to them, this plan may be a resource to consider.
Customer Service for Parents & Medical Providers:
For enrollment issues or claims inquires, the HSR Customer Service Department is available toll-free daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time at 866-409-5733. Specialized enrollment personnel will assist parents and students with their enrollment needs or to answer any claims-related questions.
