NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING: MCSD & UTM Bargaining TeamsĀ
Posted by Becky Herrin on 3/27/2024The Monroe County School District (MCSD) and the United Teachers of Monroe (UTM) convenes annually to bargain conditions pertinent to the UTM, Teachers and School Related Personnel (SRP) Contracts. The following bargaining meetings have been scheduled on:
- Tuesday, April 2, 2024
- Thursday, April 4, 2024
- Tuesday, April 16, 2024
- Thursday, April 18, 2024
- Thursday, April 25, 2024
- Monday, April 29, 2024
- Tuesday, May 7, 2024
- Thursday, May 9, 2024
- Tuesday, May 14, 2024
- Thursday, May 16, 2024
All bargaining sessions are held from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Marathon High School, room 2102, located at 350 Sombrero Beach Road, Marathon, FL. 33050. All of the meetings will be conducted in person at the same times and location as listed above. Notice of Public Meeting: School Board
Posted by Becky Herrin on 3/5/2024 6:00:00 AMOn Tuesday, March 12, 2024, the School Board will hold the Regular Business Meeting at 5:00 P.M. The host location is Marathon Middle/High School, 350 Sombrero Beach Rd., Marathon, FL 33050.
Citizens wishing to address the Board on any agenda item before action should register to speak during the Citizen Input segment of the meeting by calling (305) 293-1400 ext. 53392 no later than 2:00 P.M of the meeting day. Upon arrival at the meeting, speakers will complete the Speaker's Form.
Persons requesting accommodation for a qualifying disability under the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) should call 305-293-1400 ext. 53392 with their request no less than five (5) business days prior to the meeting and complete a speaker's card identifying what accommodation is requested.

If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board, with respect to any matter considered at a School Board meeting or hearing, that person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings are made.

Meetings Cancelled March 5th and 7th
Posted by Becky Herrin on 3/4/2024The bargaining sessions between the United Teachers of Monroe and the Monroe County School District March 5th and March 7th have been canceled. The next meeting will be held Tuesday, March 12th.
