Press Releases:
Freedom Calls Keys Students
KEY WEST (378 words) – Through an innovative, large
three-screen multimedia presentation high school and middle school students
and teachers in Monroe County are set to hear freedom call April 17-20. The
content of each “Freedom Calls” show is produced to reach students with a
positive, powerful message of good character, positive self-esteem, and wise
decision-making. “By incorporating select major motion movie clips,
top-of-the-chart music, and positive scripts, each student is challenged and
motivated to develop a healthy self-esteem by making right choices,” said
Monroe Youth Challenge Program Director Sunny Booker. MYCP contracted
Motivational Productions out of Texas to provide both “Freedom Calls”
student assemblies and “The Harvest” professional development
recertification education for faculty Keys-wide April 16th, which is a
professional day.

Motivational Pro officials state, “In a culture where substance abuse, violence,
and declining moral values bombard our children every day and provide little
inspiration for excellence, we offer hope to young people around the world
through our big- screen multimedia assemblies. By utilizing follow-up curriculum
guides and corporate support staff, schools will be better equipped to change
young lives!”
A component that attracted MYCP’s attention is students complete a survey
both before and after the assemblies to show the effectiveness of the material
and prove return on investment in a sense. The lesson plans to go with “Freedom
Calls” covers five sections: 1) The Price of Freedom; 2) Living in Freedom; 3)
Affirming Your Convictions; 4) Show Your Courage; and 5) Make Your Dreams Come
True. A downloadable copy complete with suggested reading list is available at
www.motivationalpro.org .
“The Harvest” is a large three-screen presentation just for teachers. This
inspirational multi-media presentation is about the importance teachers have and
the impact they can make in students’ lives. Motivational Pro leaders say,
“Teachers are seed planters who many times do not have the opportunity to see
the results of their work. Countless lives have been changed by the efforts of a
committed teacher. This multimedia presentation celebrates teachers who have
made this kind of impact on students.”
