WHO PROVIDES SERVICES?

Students who benefit from the ESE program include gifted students who require more challenging coursework students with learning disabilities of varying nature, students who have physical challenges and students with emotional/behavioral difficulties.  Our team includes special education teachers, staffing specialists, speech/language therapists, school psychologists, physical & occupational therapists, and resource support personnel. 

WHO RECEIVES SERVICES?

Students who meet eligibility criteria identified through State Statutes receive services.  Eligibility criteria for students with disabilities may include: 

  • Autism Spectrum Disorders                      

  • Specific Learning Disabled

  • Emotional/Behavioral Disability

  • Hearing Impaired/Deaf

  • Speech Impaired

  • Language Impaired

  • Other Health Impaired

  • Mentally Handicapped

  • Visually Impaired

  • Hospitalized/Homebound

  • Developmentally Delayed

Additionally, students who meet criteria for Gifted and Pre-K at Risk receive services throughout Monroe County School District.
