First Lady Bush Awards Superintendent Acevedo
Superintendent Acevedo was recently honored as a “2006 Who’s Who of Prevention Leaders in Florida”. He was also  recognized for his outstanding leadership and partnership with the Monroe Youth Challenge Program.

In tribute to Randy Acevedo’s state recognition, a local presentation was also made to him at this week’s school board meeting.  The award is of additional significance because Acevedo was the only school superintendent to be nominated and receive it.
